To the Moon and Back

£3,385.00

The moon and the sun come together in this piece to create one misshapen world. Half molten gold, set with contrasting diamonds, the front appears to be seeping. The silver at the back erupts from the core of the piece once opened. The two sides are seemingly opposites, but come together in a cohesive form; their droplets are about to intertwine. The two parts make up a sort of modern moon- a planet to look up to in the night sky, a distant measure of the extent of love. To the Moon and Back quantifies an unfathomable distance. Grasping at abstract measurements, we attempt to define elements to which we are powerless. This locket is the clash of two sides- either they are harmonious, and melting side by side, or they have clashed, and are reacting to one another, dribbling in contamination.
